Keep Your Sales Soaring

Here are just a few ways to keep your sales soaring on your website.  If you have a banner for your business, be creative, don’t use the typical words that every ones else uses.  If you reduce banner adds, your site will load quicker. Choose instead to use more buttons.

Other site users will link to yours as a way to generate more viewers. You can offer free advertising to well known businesses. If you are sole owner of your business, feel free to tell visitors to your site that you are the CEO.

If you sell courses in something, offer a free course to attract visitors. You can interview people in the industry that you are in and then get their OK to put in into an article for your site. You can also choose a Charity that might be of interest to your target audience and tell people you will donate a percentage to that charity.  Offering a free phone consultation to those interested in your product will allow them to know you better and that can certainly raise your sales. People like to buy from people they know.

That Yearly Resolution

The New Year’s resolution is such a noble idea but most of us fail to follow through with it. You can first ask yourself some important questions before you attempt to claim another resolution. Ask yourself what your track record has been in the past and what would motivate you into committing to the next one and last, how do you rate your desire to actually follow through?

Maybe you could begin with a resolution that is more simple and one that takes less time to finish. In this way you can slowly work up to a large resolution and gain confidence along the way. The key to following through with a resolution is all up to you and how much you want to succeed.

Financial resolutions are always big, like paying off the holiday expenses which might take a whole year. You could begin saving for next year and so when the time comes, you already have what you need and so no reason to charge it all, again, because in the long run it will cost you more to put it on a credit card.  A long term financial resolution will take a plan and some time. This is totally up to you as no on will do it for you and putting money away for the future is your choice too.

Find a Good Realtor

Real Estate is a huge market and choosing the right agent can be tough.  There are some thing you should consider before you pick a realtor because sometime you don’t need one.

If you are selling your home because of a job change and you must move quickly, then a good realtor can certainly be of help. But if you have time to wait and need the equity money as your next down payment, then you can do that yourself. Selling yourself is possible but you will have to put every detail into the contract as this will help to avoid trouble later down the road.

If you want to go with an agent, as some good questions before you pick one.  Ask each one how they will give your home exposure for it to sell?  You can also ask where they advertise, in magazines, radio or TV? Ask also about what success they have had with this type of advertising and where do they do their marketing?  You can ask how long they have been an agent and about their background and how many houses have they sold in their years of this type of work and how long generally, does it take to sell a house these days?  Try not to choose an agent who has low commission percentages as this will show little focus on your property.

Lowering the cost of Marriage

Everyone knows that spring and summer are the season for marriage and anyone who has planned a wedding, knows all to well how it can add up quickly.  The average wedding over all cost in the US today is said to be around $28,000. But, it is possible to have that memorable day without breaking the bank.

Because June is a typical wedding month, it is the most expensive but if you can be not-typical and set your date for another month, you can get savings on everything from the location to vendors. Saturday nights are also popular and you will certainly pay for the popularity of it.  If you do your homework you will find that a Friday night or an afternoon will drop the cost also.

Being creative by using party invitations with a response on a postcard will save you money right off the bat. Wedding invitations are elaborate so if you can do without the inserts and multi layers, then you will do yourself a favor.  If you are really inventive, you can design and create your own and that can’t get any more personal.

Food is a big part also. If you offer a buffet you will encourage socializing but cost less than a sit down dinner that requires staff to serve your guests.

When College Graduates Move Back Home

When College Graduates Move Back Home

The trend today is not like it once was.  It used to be that once the kids graduated from college, then got their own place but today more and more are moving back home.  The economy has cause this trend and many young adults stay home for a few years until they develop a stronger financial foundation.  In this way, they can have less living costs as they begin paying off their student loan and some will attend graduate school.

For the parents, this could be a dreaded situation or it could be a delight. Either way, both sides need to understand the financial challenges that the parent will be faced with and if the family gets together to discuss this, there is a better chance of keeping harmony in the household.

It would be wise to talk about every ones expectations in advance so everyone knows what the living arrangements will be. Questions need to be answered, like if this child will pay rent, what chores he might have and how much he or she will contribute to food. Maybe a time limit is set for when the child needs to have found his own place and putting it in writing will then assure no misunderstanding later down the road.
